hard... harder... hardest... next to impossible...

Hard...

Leaving your dog to live with your parents because you want to move in with your girlfriend to save money...

Harder...

Hearing from your parents that your dog has blood in her urine...

Hardest...

Hearing the vet's report saying your dog has diabetes...

Next to impossible...

Hearing that my parents 'simple' diet of rice, canned dog food, dry dog food and scrap bits of meat needs to stop because there are too many carbohydrates which is contributing to her sugar being out of control...

Things racing through my head:

1. Did I bring this on by leaving her with my parents who I knew was going to feed them this concoction they made up...
2. Should I have put my foot down about only giving her dry dog food instead of the rice/meat/dog food concoction they insisted on feeding her as a "treat"...
3. How will my parents deal with having to give her 2 insulin shots a day...
4. How will she deal with being given 2 insulin shots a day...
5. I wish I still had her up here with me...
6. Good God I'm so selfish for leaving her with my parents...
